How To Figure Out How Much To Charge

by Jason Guba

How much should you charge for your products and your services? This is something that every business person struggles with. Web and offline entrepreneurs must wrestle with this as well. It's true-even Internet Marketers struggle over how to figure out how much to charge. This is because there are all sorts of conflicting advice out there about which prices are best. In addition, you know what type of prices you want to see, so this must be very confusing. Use the following tips to help you solve this dilemma.

People will try to get you to donate your products and services for free, something that you will definitely encounter. This is something that happens often too much.

Donating your time, especially if it is for a nonprofit organization or cause it is worthwhile, you should do this. Giving your products and services away is also a great idea. Never change your pricing of people want to trade "exposure" or "reviews" for your products or services. They are simply just trying to get a freebie. If you really do have great products and services, then you need to charge for them. It's that simple.

Prices and rates are usually considered a guideline for the business owner that sets them.

If you are a freelancer providing a service and your client wants to add on extra tasks or work after you have started a project, make sure that you have them pay for what they are asking you to do. Do not agree to do more work if you will not be paid for your services. Handle this by sending a separate bill for everything that was not on the original quote. Handling this in this manner, will let your client see everything that was added on and you will get fair pricing. Pricing and rate choices can be very dicey. It's really easy to get overwhelmed and confused as you are trying to figure out what you should be doing. The more you sell your products and services, the easier it will be to discern the proper price points - choosing fair rates will simply get easier. It's all about finding the right fair price for what you are offering. Once you do, your business will take off!
